Thinners
What are Thinners?
A thinner is a volatile solvent that is used to dilute or extend oil-based paints or clean up after use. Common solvents used as paint thinner chemicals include mineral spirits, mineral and true turpentine, acetone, naphtha, toluene, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), dimethylformamide (DMF), glycol ethers and xylene. Extreme care is required when handling thinners, as exposure to their vapors during use or in clean up may be hazardous.
Thinners are utilized in places like the automotive industry, appliance industry, bicycle industry, furniture industry, etc. They are widely used products like wheels, fuel tanks, aluminum doors and windows, ovens, refrigerators, bicycle parts, and many more.
